ISRAELI PALESTINIAN CONFLICT

by Gabriele Stabile

Gabriele is working on a personal project on Israeli Palestinian conflict, he is working in the area since 1 year after the Operation Cast Lead when the Army had bombed the Gaza Strip.

PART 1 THE PRISON

Gaza is a game of Chinese boxes. One box contains another. On my first day in the strip I had heard that during Operation Cast Lead The Israeli Army had bombed the prison too, and many inmates had had the chance to escape. After a few weeks on the run the vast majority of them had followed Hamas officials invitation To go back to prison.

PART 2 THE CLASHES

Just landed in Tel Aviv I had news that Hamas was inviting palestinians to cause a dies following Netanyiau's decision to continue building settlements in East Jerusalem, traditionally Palestinian territory.

PART 3 THE STRIP

I feel attracted to Gaza, maybe because I was born in the Mediterranean sea, and I have those colors and that light in my eyes, or maybe because Gaza is a place of sorrow, a real point in the middle of a blood meridian...
