Giorgio Dirindin

Nominee since 2023

Giorgio Dirindin (b. 2000) is a documentary photographer from Turin, Italy.

After documenting the outbreak of the Russio–Ukrainian war in the Donbas in 2022, he began a long-term project on Russia, investigating the profound social, cultural, and political transformations taking place in the country.

In 2022 he documented the living conditions of Bedouin communities in Gaza and the West Bank; in 2023 he joined the SAR vessel Life Support operated by the NGO Emergency to cover migration routes across the Mediterranean; and in 2024 he photographed the fall of the Assad regime in Syria.

In 2025 he took part in two artist residencies in Piacenza and Monfalcone, as part of CESURA’s project I Talìa, where he explored the intersections of politics, economy, and immigration in Italy.

In September 2023 he became a nominee member of CESURA.
