Giorgio Orazio Salimeni (Catania, 1990) grew up in Sicily, and after graduating in 2012 he started working as a physiotherapist, coming into close contact with human beings’ condition of physical and mental fragility. In this context, he developed an interest in photography as a means of research and understanding, and started photographing the boundaries of his work within elderly facilities.
In 2014 he moved from Sicily and start his photographic training by assisting Alex Majoli and collaborating with Cesura, of which he is an official member since 2020.
He continues to deepen and develop his photographic language through long-term projects focused on the human condition by working in territories with economic and social development problems.
