After months of clashes in Kiev, Ukraine had to deal with a hard political and social situation in the Southern and Eastern parts of the country. On February 27th, armed men occupied the Rada In Simferopol, the building of the Supreme Council of the Crimea peninsula.
On March 1st, the Russian Federation gathered its troops and started occupying Crimea.
